ARXplorer is an augmented reality app that allows users to explore Duluth MN, and surrounding areas while collecting virtual chests hidden within the physical world.
To add another level users can keep track of where they have been and what chest they have collected on the designed smart map to encourage users to check out all the Duluth area has to offer!
The reason behind ARxplorer was to design an augmented reality app that would encourage users, locals and tourists alike, to get out and involved with the community to promote growth and interaction. Social interaction is pushed even further by allowing users to make friends, connect with them, and compete for rewards.
